Ping Hunt — Account and Data Deletion

How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your Ping Hunt account at any time directly from within the app. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

    Open the Ping Hunt app

    Make sure you are signed in to the account you want to delete.

    Go to Settings

    Tap the Settings icon in the app's navigation.

    Open Account Settings

    Select the "Account Settings" section within Settings.

    Tap "Delete Account"

    Tap the Delete Account button and confirm. Your account and associated data will be permanently deleted.

You must be signed in to delete your account. If you have trouble accessing your account, please contact us at privacy@pinghunt.com and we will assist you.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your Ping Hunt account, the following data is permanently removed:

  • Your account credentials (email address and password)
  • Your profile information (display name and profile photo)
  • Any hunts you have created that have not been shared publicly
  • Any private waypoint images and associated GPS data that have not been shared publicly
  • Your hunt participation history and progress records

What May Be Retained

Some data may be retained after account deletion in limited circumstances:

  • Publicly shared content: Hunts, waypoint images, and GPS data you have already shared publicly on the Ping Hunt platform become the property of Ping Hunt at the point of sharing (as described in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service) and may remain part of the platform's dataset.
  • Legal obligations: We may retain certain records where required by law or to resolve outstanding disputes, for the minimum period required.

Retention Period

Your personal account data is deleted promptly upon confirmation of your deletion request. Any legally required records are held for no longer than the period required by applicable law, after which they are also deleted.
